Alliance for Women in Media – NCAC

AWM-NCAC Website Relaunch


After taking the Board position of AWM-NCAC’s Creative Manager it was my first task to relaunch the website, which was originally created using Squarespace. I recommended to move the website to it’s own hosting to allow for the usage of Word Press, which would give us the flexibility to better manage the site. My vision for the site’s design was to present a fresh, new look, which could reflect our progress continuous basis. It was also important to rearrange the site’s content to allow for easy navigation, better hierarchy, condensing information, and highlighting important aspects, like membership.  I also gave the site updates such as displaying the board member information and allowing for events to be paid for within the site.


For the Love of Helping Everyone Reach


H.E.R. is AWM-NCAC’s 2016 theme aligned with our mission to Connect, Engage, and Empower all media professionals and allied fields. The purpose of this year’s theme was to allow our members and the DMV community to reach their highest heights. The logo was created to appeal to the female audience, which AWM-NCAC caters to. Since, there is a official brand for the affiliate organization it was important to create a brand, which can stand one it’s own, but also compliment the superior brand.
