The Lost Empire: Black Freemasonry in the Old West (1867–1906), is a self-published book by James R. Morgan, III, which has sold 500+ copies since January 2019. The non-fiction book is take you through the life of Captain William Dominick Matthews–Freemason, Civil War officer and abolitionist–who became one of the most illustrious and controversial figures of his time. My role was to design the book to visually take the reader back to into the time period during the Wild Wild West. Deliverables included a casewrap and dust jacket book, website, and marketing materials.
